Some of you may already know that both Coach Mia and Coach Bunny have begun a community of women under the banner of Find Your FIERCE Global. They’re connected as well to other social media networks; Facebook, and IG. You’ve probably learned from some of their webinars and workshops too. But let’s dig deep on what FIERCE is about.
Why FindYourFierce Global
We came together because of very similar experiences. Our friendship began in the early 2000’s. We both lived as ex-pat wives and mothers in Singapore. Back then we thought that just being active, and exercise would keep us healthy — we thought we were healthy with weekly yoga classes and/or running/badminton with friends and having fruits and veggies in our meals. However, it was really after the same 60-day metabolic transformation program we did in 2017, that we both realized we were wrong. We learned that the food we eat matters the most in how healthy we become. After the 60-day transformation program, we were transformed in mind as well. We realized that we could make a change in our own family. And we did! It’s not only about changing eating habits, nor is it just changing exercise routines. It’s beyond supplementing too.
Gratitude. It’s the word for WHY we set up this community of FIERCE women. We experienced such a blessing from learning, researching, and experiencing our own wellness that we wanted to share this with other women. And so we established FindYourFierce Global. It’s really empowering women to seek better health, better versions of themselves. It’s founded on guiding women on their own health journey, and not fall short with excuses.
What F.I.E.R.C.E is..
We created the FIERCE as an acronym for the 5 pillars we believe in for women to be well. We call it the FIERCE Framework.
- F: Food – we believe that Food plays a major role in keeping us well or unwell. Food is information.
- I: Insides/Gut – The gut is our second brain, so keeping this healthy therefore keeps our brain and bodies healthy.
- E: Energy/Exercise – Our bodies are meant to move and be active. Exercise plays a role in keeping our mind and body in balance. It also plays a role in hormone balance.
- R: Right Mindset – We practice a growth mindset in our program, and we also guide women in understanding our ‘chimp’ in each of us. As women, our beliefs and thoughts, and emotions play important parts in the actions we do.
- C: Correct Hormones – Women are complex especially because of the hormones that constantly interact with each other. We help women understand these hormones, how they can manage them for better wellbeing.
- E: Environment / Self-Care – As women — wives and/or mothers– we have a great responsibility in keeping the home/family intact. We tend to prioritize our husband and/or children/ family first before we turn to care for ourselves. We believe that we need to care for ourselves as well before being able to help others.
Our programs are 1-1 coaching and run on this F.I.E.R.C.E wheel — where these 5 pillars are all related and need to function well to a balanced healthy life. To be able to transform (both mind and body) and to create a healthier life, there are other factors at play. It isn’t just about Exercise and Diet anymore; that’s the old way of thinking.
..and Why
We’ve created this system that worked for us to keep it REAL, ORGANIZED, and SIMPLE to follow – to keep it sustainable, to keep it a life-changing habit. It’s not easy to maintain a healthy lifestyle, but it’s achievable. This wheel helps when we ‘fall off the wagon’. There are repercussions to the actions we take — the type of food we eat, the type of exercise, or even the number of hours of sleep. All these affect how we function and how we live. Using the F.I.E.R.C.E Wheel gives focus on what aspects we need to look at because these truly affect each other. The F.I.E.R.C.E Wheel also gives us perspective on inner health and healing rather than the outside appearance. Looking fit and strong on the outside doesn’t necessarily mean one is truly well. True wellness begins with inner health.
